Elonites
The Elonites were one of the three families that made up the tribe of Zebulun in the wilderness census, descended from Elon son of Zebulun.
A Family of Zebulun
The second census taken on the plains of Moab divides each tribe into its constituent families, and Zebulun's three branches are named together: "The sons of Zebulun after their families: of Sered, the family of the Seredites; of Elon, the family of the Elonites; of Jahleel, the family of the Jahleelites" (Nu 26:26). The Elonites take their name from Elon, the second of Zebulun's three sons, and stand alongside the Seredites and Jahleelites as one of three subdivisions through which the tribe was reckoned for the census and the inheritance of the land.
