Elpalet

Elpalet is a son of David born in Jerusalem. UPDV preserves the name in two parallel lists with two slightly different spellings — Elpelet and Eliphelet.

In the Chronicler's Jerusalem-born list

The roster of David's sons born after the move to Jerusalem includes the name as Elpelet: "and Ibhar, and Elishua, and Elpelet" (1 Chronicles 14:5).

The parallel name in 1 Chronicles 3

The earlier genealogical roll runs the same list with a different vowel-pattern in the spelling: "and Ibhar, and Elishama, and Eliphelet" (1 Chronicles 3:6). The two forms refer to the same son of David.
