Equity (Fairness)

Equity names fairness — the even-handed treatment of persons and causes that scripture sets at the heart of right judgment, both in the courts of Israel and in the character of God who judges the world. The biblical material treats equity as the standard by which kings rule, judges decide, and witnesses testify, and as a quality the Lord himself loves and establishes in the earth.
