Eubulus

People · Updated 2026-05-07

Eubulus is named once in scripture, among the Roman companions who send greetings at the close of Paul's last letter to Timothy.

A Friend of Paul

Paul urges Timothy to come to him before winter and then names those gathered around him: "Be diligent to come before winter. Eubulus greets you, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brothers" (2Ti 4:21). Eubulus heads the short list of personal greetings, placing him among the believers still with Paul at the time of the letter and joining his name to those of Pudens, Linus, and Claudia in the closing salutation.
