Exchangers

Exchangers, in older English usage, names the money changers who set up tables at the temple to convert pilgrims' currency into the coin required for the temple tax and for purchasing sacrificial animals. Their trade became the focal point of Jesus' temple cleansing, where he overturned the tables and drove out their commerce.
