Fickleness

Fickleness is the unsettled mind that swings between loyalties and convictions — close kin to backsliding, hypocrisy, and indecision. Scripture marks it not abstractly but in named lives: Reuben's instability, Saul's shifting feelings toward David, Solomon's drift toward foreign idols, Lot's wife looking back, and disciples whose first zeal could not hold.
