Gallim
Gallim is a town probably belonging to the tribe of Benjamin, surfacing twice in the narrative: as the home of the man Saul gives Michal to during David's exile, and as one of the settlements named in Isaiah's oracle on the Assyrian advance toward Jerusalem.
Saul's Reassignment of Michal
After David flees the court, Saul reassigns his daughter to a man of Gallim: "Now Saul had given Michal his daughter, David's wife, to Palti the son of Laish, who was of Gallim" (1 Sa 25:44). The verse anchors Palti — and Michal's interim marriage — to this Benjaminite town.
In Isaiah's Northern-Approach Oracle
Gallim reappears in the rapid-fire roll of villages that Isaiah names as the invader sweeps toward Jerusalem: "Cry aloud with your voice, O daughter of Gallim! Listen, O Laishah! O you poor Anathoth!" (Isa 10:30). The town is grouped with Laishah and Anathoth in the path of the advancing army.
