Gazez

Gazez is a name borne by two men in the Caleb genealogy — a son and a grandson of Caleb — and both appear in the same verse of Chronicles.

Two Men Named Gazez in Caleb's Line

A single verse names both figures, the son and the grandson, in one breath: "And Ephah, Caleb's concubine, bore Haran, and Moza, and Gazez; and Haran begot Gazez" (1 Chr 2:46). The first Gazez is born to Caleb by his concubine Ephah; the second is the son of Caleb's son Haran, repeating the name in the next generation.
