Gesham

Gesham is a name from the Calebite line in the genealogies of Judah, appearing once among the sons of Jahdai.

A Son of Jahdai in the Calebite Line

The single notice gives only a name in a list: "And the sons of Jahdai: Regem, and Jothan, and Geshan, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph" (1Ch 2:47). The UPDV preserves the form "Geshan" here, alongside five brothers attached to Jahdai within the broader genealogy of Caleb. No deeds, marriages, or further descendants are recorded. The figure exists in the text only as an entry in the chronicler's roster of Caleb's wider family.
