Gizonite
The Gizonite is a gentilic — "of Gizoh" or "from Gizoh" — that surfaces once, attached to a name in the roll of David's mighty men.
Among David's Mighty Men
In the Chronicler's listing of David's heroes, between the deeds attached to individual warriors, a clutch of names is given by patronymic: "the sons of Hashem the Gizonite, Jonathan the son of Shagee the Hararite," (1 Chr 11:34). Hashem the Gizonite stands among David's elite warriors; the place from which the gentilic is drawn is not otherwise identified, but the form "Gizonite" suggests a man (or family) tied to a settlement of that name in the territory of Judah.
