Hadashah
Hadashah is one of the towns of the Shephelah included in the inheritance allotted to Judah. It appears only in the boundary list of Joshua 15.
A town in Judah's lowland allotment
The Shephelah catalogue places Hadashah between Zenan and Migdal-gad: "Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdal-gad" (Jos 15:37). It belongs to the cluster that, with the surrounding verses (Jos 15:36-39), runs through Shaaraim, Adithaim, Gederah, and Gederothaim, then Dilean, Mizpeh, and Joktheel before continuing on to Lachish, Bozkath, and Eglon. Hadashah is named only here; nothing further is said of its size, history, or distinguishing features beyond its place among Judah's lowland towns.
