Hadid

Places · Updated 2026-05-06

Hadid is a town within the territory of Benjamin, named in the post-exilic registers of returnees and resettlement.

In the Returning Lists

Hadid appears alongside Lod and Ono in the rosters of those who came back from Babylon. The two parallel registers count slightly different totals: "The sons of Lod, Hadid, and Ono, seven hundred twenty and five" (Ezra 2:33), and "The sons of Lod, Hadid, and Ono, seven hundred twenty and one" (Neh 7:37).

In the Resettlement of Benjamin

When the towns of Benjamin are listed in the resettlement, Hadid is included with neighboring sites: "Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat," (Neh 11:34).
