Hakupha
Hakupha is named only in the rosters of temple servants — the Nethinim — whose descendants returned with Zerubbabel from exile. He is one of a long sequence of ancestral names attached to the post-exilic restoration of temple service, preserved twice in parallel lists.
A name in the Nethinim list
The first roll appears in the Ezra register of those who came up out of captivity: "the sons of Bakbuk, the sons of Hakupha, the sons of Harhur" (Ezr 2:51). The Nehemiah parallel reproduces the same triplet in the same order: "the sons of Bakbuk, the sons of Hakupha, the sons of Harhur" (Ne 7:53). Nothing further is told about him; the name marks a household whose male descendants stood among the temple servants brought back to Jerusalem.
