Hamuel
Hamuel is a name attached to a single Simeonite descendant in the tribal genealogies of 1 Chronicles. UPDV spells the name Hammuel with a doubled consonant; the older spelling "Hamuel" survives only in earlier English versions and topical indexes.
A Simeonite Descendant
The name appears once, embedded in the patrilineal chain that runs from Mishma down through later generations of Simeon: "And the sons of Mishma: Hammuel his son, Zaccur his son, Shimei his son" (1 Ch 4:26). No deeds, sayings, or further references attach to him. He is a link in the line — a name preserved so that the genealogy connecting Simeon to its later clans remains continuous.
