Haphraim

Haphraim is a town listed once in scripture, in the city-by-city catalog that fixes the tribal inheritance of Issachar. UPDV spells the place name Hapharaim; older English versions and topical indexes carry the contracted form "Haphraim".

A City of Issachar

The single mention sits inside a triple-name run from the Issachar allotment: "and Hapharaim, and Shion, and Anaharath" (Jos 19:19). No narrative attaches to the place — no battle, no judge, no later prophet. Like many of the boundary-list towns, it survives in scripture only as a name in the inventory that describes what land Issachar received.
