Haradah

Places · Updated 2026-05-06

Haradah is one of the wilderness encampments in the itinerary of Numbers 33 — a single stop sandwiched between mount Shepher and Makheloth, mentioned only as Israel arrives and departs.

A stop between Shepher and Makheloth

The catalogue of stages records the move into and out of the camp in two adjacent verses: "And they journeyed from mount Shepher, and encamped in Haradah" (Nu 33:24); "And they journeyed from Haradah, and encamped in Makheloth" (Nu 33:25). No event is told there; the place is preserved as a step in the wilderness route.
