Haroeh
Haroeh is a Judahite name preserved in the Chronicler's genealogies, where the line of Shobal — the father of Kiriath-jearim — is laid out twice with a small but significant variation in spelling.
Son of Shobal in 1 Chronicles 2
The first listing places him directly in Shobal's family: "And Shobal the father of Kiriath-jearim had sons: Haroeh, half of the Menuhoth" (1 Chronicles 2:52). The line ties the name to the Kiriath-jearim cluster and to the Menuhoth.
Reaiah in 1 Chronicles 4
When the Chronicler returns to the same line two chapters later, the same son of Shobal appears under a different form: "And Reaiah the son of Shobal begot Jahath; and Jahath begot Ahumai and Lahad. These are the families of the Zorathites" (1 Chronicles 4:2). The two names — Haroeh and Reaiah — sit on the same genealogical slot, and the second form is the one that carries the line forward to Jahath and the Zorathite families.
