Hashem the Gizonite is mentioned once, named through his sons in the roll of David's mighty men.

In the catalogue of warriors who served alongside David, Hashem's place is fixed by the inclusion of his sons in the list: "the sons of Hashem the Gizonite, Jonathan the son of Shagee the Hararite," (1Ch 11:34). The text gives his hometown but no personal exploits — he is recorded only as the father of those who fought in the king's company.
