Hazo
Hazo is one of the sons of Nahor, Abraham's brother. The notice comes at the close of the Akedah narrative in Genesis 22, where word reaches Abraham that his brother's house has grown — a side-genealogy that sets up the line eventually leading to Bethuel and Rebekah.
A Son of Nahor
He is named in the middle of the brief roll of Nahor's later-listed sons:
"And Chesed, and Hazo, and Pildash, and Jidlaph, and Bethuel" (Ge 22:22).
Hazo stands between Chesed and Pildash in the sequence; the line then closes with Bethuel, the link forward to the Aramean kin-network that will matter in the Isaac story. Nothing further is recorded of Hazo himself — the name survives as one of the eight sons borne to Nahor through Milcah, preserved in the family record that Abraham receives.
