Hazor-Hadattah

Hazor-hadattah is a town named in the inheritance allotted to the tribe of Judah. It appears once in the UPDV, in the southern roster of Judah's cities.

A Town in Judah's Southern Roster

The settlement is listed alongside Kerioth-hezron in the catalog of Judah's holdings: "and Hazor-hadattah, and Kerioth-hezron (the same is Hazor)" (Jos 15:25). The parenthetical equation links Kerioth-hezron with Hazor, leaving Hazor-hadattah ("New Hazor") as a distinct neighboring site within the same southern district of Judah.
