Horam
Horam is the Canaanite king of Gezer who marched out to relieve Lachish during Joshua's southern campaign and was destroyed with his army.
King of Gezer
As Joshua was reducing the southern Canaanite cities one by one, Horam intervened on behalf of besieged Lachish: "Then Horam king of Gezer came up to help Lachish; and Joshua struck him and his people, until he had left him none remaining" (Josh 10:33). The notice is brief but total — Horam, his forces, and the relief effort itself are wiped out, while Lachish falls and the southern campaign continues. Horam appears nowhere else; his single mention places him among the kings whose defeat secured Israel's hold on the southern hill country.
