Hukkok

Places · Updated 2026-05-07

Hukkok is a single boundary marker in the territorial allotments of Joshua, fixed on Naphtali's western frontier.

On the Border of Naphtali

The town is named in the survey of Naphtali's lot, where the line bends west and runs to the place: "and the border turned westward to Aznoth-tabor, and went out from there to Hukkok; and it reached to Zebulun on the south, and reached to Asher on the west, and to Jehuda at the Jordan toward the sunrising" (Jos 19:34). Hukkok stands between Aznoth-tabor and the meeting points of three tribal territories — Zebulun, Asher, and the Jordan frontier — anchoring the western edge of Naphtali's land.
