Hul

Hul is a son of Aram in the Table of Nations, listed only in the two genealogical registers of Genesis and Chronicles.

In the Table of Nations

Genesis names the four sons of Aram in a single verse: "And the sons of Aram: Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash" (Gen 10:23). Hul stands second in the list, between Uz and Gether.

The Chronicler folds Aram's sons directly into the line of Shem, dropping the intermediate generation: "The sons of Shem: Elam, and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech" (1 Chr 1:17). The same names recur, with Mash of Genesis appearing as Meshech here.
