Huppah

Huppah is named once, as one of the priestly courses set in order under David.

The Thirteenth Priestly Course

Within the Chronicler's roster of the twenty-four divisions of the sons of Aaron, the lot for the thirteenth turn falls to Huppah: "the thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshebeab" (1Ch 24:13). The list assigns him a fixed place in the rotation of priestly service, between the courses of the twelfth and the fourteenth, but no further history of him or his house is preserved.
