Hurai

Hurai is named once, in the Chronicler's roll of David's elite warriors.

One of David's Mighty Men

He is identified by the country he came from rather than by family: "Hurai of the brooks of Gaash, Abiel the Arbathite" (1Ch 11:32). The phrase places him near Gaash, the wadi region tied to Joshua's burial in the hill country of Ephraim. His listing belongs to the wider catalogue of David's champions in 1Ch 11, and no further notice of him survives.
