Invective

Invective is sharp, denunciatory speech that attacks a person, nation, or practice in pointed and often mocking terms, frequently woven into prophetic oracles and apostolic rebukes. The form overlaps with satire, where biting irony exposes folly, idolatry, or moral failure.
