Iphtah

Iphtah is a town in the Shephelah district of the tribe of Judah: "and Iphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib" (Josh 15:43).

Its exact location is uncertain. UPDV records this mention of Iphtah in the territorial allotment of Judah. The name also appears in the compound place name Iphtah-el (a valley on the boundary between Asher and Zebulun), which is a distinct location.
