Ir

Ir is a Benjamite named once in the Chronicler's tribal genealogy.

Father of Shuppim and Huppim

He is identified by his sons in a single verse: "Shuppim also, and Huppim, the sons of Ir; Hushim, the son of another" (1Ch 7:12). The verse places him in the Benjamite line; nothing further is recorded about him.
