Ishmerai appears once, in the Benjamite genealogy of Elpaal's line.

A Son of Elpaal

He is listed among Elpaal's sons in a chain of names that closes the verse: "and Ishmerai, and Izliah, and Jobab, the sons of Elpaal," (1Ch 8:18). The notice supplies neither narrative nor descendant — only the ascription to Elpaal, situating Ishmerai within the wider Benjamite rolls of 1Ch 8.
