Ishuah
Ishuah — rendered in the UPDV as Ishvah — is named in the two genealogies of Asher's sons and nowhere else. He sits second in the order both times.
Second Son of Asher
The Genesis migration roster lists the sons coming into Egypt. "And the sons of Asher: Imnah, and Ishvah, and Ishvi, and Beriah, and their sister Serah; and the sons of Beriah: Heber, and Malchiel" (Gen 46:17). Ishvah appears second, between Imnah and the similarly-named Ishvi, with the line of grandsons traced not through him but through Beriah.
The Chronicler's compressed list repeats the same five names in the same order: "The sons of Asher: Imnah, and Ishvah, and Ishvi, and Beriah, and Serah their sister" (1 Chr 7:30). No clan is traced from Ishvah, no descendants are recorded, and the wider census of Asher in the verses that follow proceeds through his brothers. The whole notice of the man is a position in the family list.
