Italy

Italy appears in scripture's UPDV-canonical text at the close of Hebrews, where "those from Italy" send greetings. The line securely attests a Christian connection with Italy, but it does not by itself settle whether the greeters were in Italy or were believers from Italy elsewhere.

Those from Italy

The closing benediction of Hebrews says: "Greet all those who have the rule over you⁺, and all the saints. Those from Italy greet you⁺" (Heb 13:24). The phrase may refer to Christians in Italy sending greetings, or to believers from Italy who are with the writer elsewhere. In UPDV scope, the line attests Italian Christian connections with the sender's circle without proving that Hebrews was sent from Italy.
