Ithmah
Ithmah appears once, in the chronicler's catalogue of David's mighty men, distinguished by his foreign origin.
A Moabite Among David's Mighty Men
The roster opens, "Also the mighty men of the armies: Asahel the brother of Joab, Elhanan the son of Dodo of Beth-lehem" (1 Ch 11:26), and runs through to the closing names: "Eliel the Mahavite, and Jeribai, and Joshaviah, the sons of Elnaam, and Ithmah the Moabite" (1 Ch 11:46). His ethnic tag — "the Moabite" — sets him among the foreign-born warriors who served in David's company.
