Izrahiah

Izrahiah is named in the Issachar genealogy of the chronicler, a grandson of Tola.

A Descendant of Tola in Issachar

The line runs from the patriarch through Tola: "And of the sons of Issachar: Tola, and Puah, Jashub, and Shimron, four" (1 Ch 7:1). Tola's sons are listed next, with Uzzi at the head — "heads of their fathers' houses, [to wit,] of Tola; mighty men of valor in their generations" (1 Ch 7:2). The descent then narrows: "And the sons of Uzzi: Izrahiah. And the sons of Izrahiah: Michael, and Obadiah, and Joel, Isshiah, five; all of them chief men" (1 Ch 7:3). The closing tag — "all of them chief men" — applies to Izrahiah and the five reckoned with him.
