Jacan is listed among the seven brothers of the Gadite clan in the genealogy of 1 Chronicles 5: "Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba, and Jorai, and Jacan, and Zia, and Eber, seven" (1 Chr 5:13).

No other details about Jacan appear in UPDV beyond this genealogical entry in the tribal records of Gad.
