Jakeh
Jakeh is named once in scripture, as the father of Agur, the speaker whose oracle opens the thirtieth chapter of Proverbs.
Father of Agur
The superscription that introduces the collection reads: "The words of Agur the son of Jakeh; The oracle. The [noble] man says to Ithiel, to Ithiel and Ucal" (Pr 30:1). The patronymic is the only thing the text reports about Jakeh — he supplies the lineage that frames Agur's sayings, but says nothing further on his own account.
