Jalon

Jalon is named once in scripture, as one of the sons of Ezrah in the Judahite genealogies of Chronicles.

A Son of Ezrah in Judah

The Chronicler lists the household of Ezrah within the wider tracing of Judah's descendants: "And the sons of Ezrah: Jether, and Mered, and Epher, and Jalon; and she became pregnant with Miriam, and Shammai, and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa" (1Ch 4:17). Jalon stands fourth in the brothers' list and contributes nothing further to the narrative — the verse keeps the line on record without expanding on him.
