Jekameam

Jekameam is a Levite of the line of Kohath, listed as the fourth of four sons of Hebron in the Davidic registers of priestly and Levitical service.

Fourth Son of Hebron

The Levitical roster places him at the end of the Hebronite line: "The sons of Hebron: Jeriah the chief, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth" (1Ch 23:19). The same four names recur in the casting of lots for service in the next chapter, with UPDV bracketing the restored heading: "And the sons of [Hebron]: Jeriah [the chief], Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth" (1Ch 24:23). The two lists fix his position in the rotation of the sanctuary courses without giving any further narrative.
