Jekamiah

Jekamiah is a descendant of Jerahmeel — and, through Jerahmeel, of Judah — placed in the long Judahite genealogy of 1 Chronicles 2.

A Link in the Jerahmeelite Line

The genealogy traces Jerahmeel's line down through several generations and reaches Jekamiah by way of his father Shallum: "and Shallum begot Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begot Elishama" (1Ch 2:41). The notice gives only the bare succession — father, son, grandson — without further narrative; Jekamiah is named as the means by which the line continues from Shallum to Elishama.
