Joelah
Joelah is one of David's early supporters, named in the roster of warriors who joined him at Ziklag during his flight from Saul.
Son of Jeroham at Ziklag
The opening of the Ziklag list sets the scene: "Now these are those who came to David to Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close because of Saul the son of Kish; and they were among the mighty men, his helpers in war" (1Ch 12:1). Within that company Joelah appears among the last names recorded: "and Joelah, and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham of Gedor" (1Ch 12:7).
His placement at the close of the roster, paired with his brother Zebadiah, identifies him simply as a man of Gedor who threw in his lot with David before David's kingship was secure.
