Jogli

Jogli is preserved as a patronym in the roster of tribal princes appointed to divide Canaan among the tribes.

Father of Bukki the Danite Prince

The setting is Yahweh's instruction to Moses on the eve of the inheritance: "These are the names of the men who will divide the land to you⁺ for inheritance: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun" (Nu 34:17). One prince was to be drawn from every tribe to assist them in the work (Nu 34:18).

In the running list of those appointed princes Jogli surfaces as a father's name only: "And of the tribe of the sons of Dan a prince, Bukki the son of Jogli" (Nu 34:22). It is Bukki who is named as Dan's prince; Jogli stands behind him as the patronym that identifies Bukki's house within the tribe.
