Jorai
Jorai appears once in the text, named in a Gadite kindred list among the eastern tribes settled across the Jordan.
A Gadite Kinsman
The chronicler enumerates the heads of fathers' houses in Gad, then turns to "their brothers of their fathers' houses." Jorai stands fourth in the seven-name roster: "Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba, and Jorai, and Jacan, and Zia, and Eber, seven" (1Ch 5:13). The notice supplies no further biography — only kinship, tribe, and the round count of seven that closes the list.
