Kirjath-sannah

Kirjath-sannah — spelled Kiriath-sannah in the UPDV — is an alternate name for the Judahite city of Debir, given in the hill-country city list of Judah.

In the Hill Country of Judah

The town is named once, with its identification with Debir attached: "and Dannah, and Kiriath-sannah (the same is Debir)," (Jos 15:49). The verse joins it to Dannah in the inland catalogue of Judah and explicitly equates it with Debir, the better-known name under which the same city appears elsewhere in the conquest narrative.
