Maaz

Maaz appears once in scripture, in the Judahite genealogy of Jerahmeel preserved in Chronicles.

A son of Ram

The genealogy of Jerahmeel records: "And the sons of Ram the firstborn of Jerahmeel were Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker" (1Ch 2:27). Maaz stands first among the three sons of Ram, who is himself the firstborn of Jerahmeel.

Nothing further is said of him.
