Mash

Mash is one of the four sons of Aram listed in the Table of Nations in Genesis 10. The name occurs only at this point in the Shemite genealogy.

A Son of Aram

The genealogy of Shem traces five sons — Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, and Aram — and then breaks down the line of Aram further. "The sons of Shem: Elam, and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram. And the sons of Aram: Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash" (Genesis 10:22-23). Mash stands fourth and last in the list of Aram's sons, alongside Uz, Hul, and Gether.
