Mehida
Mehida is named only as the head of a Nethinim family whose descendants returned from Babylon, listed in the parallel registers of Ezra and Nehemiah and otherwise unmentioned.
A Family Among the Returnees
The Ezra register lists the family between Bazluth and Harsha: "the sons of Bazluth, the sons of Mehida, the sons of Harsha," (Ezra 2:52).
The Nehemiah register repeats the same neighbors with a small spelling shift in the preceding name: "the sons of Bazlith, the sons of Mehida, the sons of Harsha," (Neh 7:54).
Both notices stand inside the larger catalogue of the descendants of those returned from exile. Mehida himself is not described; only his line is counted.
