Mehuman

Mehuman is named once, listed first among the seven chamberlains who ministered before King Ahasuerus.

At the Court of Ahasuerus

The setting is the seventh day of the king's banquet: "On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, and Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, the seven chamberlains that ministered in the presence of Ahasuerus the king" (Esth 1:10). Mehuman heads the list of those summoned, attendants whose service brings them into the immediate presence of the king at the moment Vashti is sent for.
