Meshillemith

Meshillemith appears in the genealogies of the priests who returned to Jerusalem after the exile, identified by his place in the line of Immer.

A Priest of the Line of Immer

He is named in the chronicler's list of returned priests: "and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malchijah, and Maasai the son of Adiel, the son of Jahzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer" (1Chr 9:12). The genealogy traces Maasai through several generations back to Immer, with Meshillemith as the link between Meshullam and Immer in that chain. The verse is the only place his name occurs.
