Meshobab

Meshobab is named among the Simeonite chiefs in the chronicler's roster of that tribe.

Among the Simeonite Chiefs

He stands at the head of a short list of names within the Simeonite genealogy: "And Meshobab, and Jamlech, and Joshah the son of Amaziah," (1Chr 4:34). The verse is the only occurrence of the name. The wider section to which it belongs is the chronicler's listing of Simeonite leaders whose families expand and seek pasture for their flocks.
