Miamin
Two men of the post-exilic community share the name Miamin, which the UPDV renders as "Mijamin." One appears in the list of Israelites who had taken foreign wives and put them away under Ezra's reform, the other among the priests who returned with Zerubbabel from Babylon.
In Ezra's list of those who had foreign wives
The first Mijamin stands among the sons of Parosh, named in the catalogue of laymen who entered into the marriage-reform: "And of Israel: Of the sons of Parosh: Ramiah, and Izziah, and Malchijah, and Mijamin, and Eleazar, and Malchijah, and Benaiah" (Ezr 10:25).
Among the priests of the return
The second appears in the bare list of priestly heads who came up with Zerubbabel and Jeshua, set out as a row of names without further description: "Mijamin, Maadiah, Bilgah" (Ne 12:5).
