Mibzar

Mibzar is one of the chiefs of Edom, named in the closing chief-list that follows the catalogue of Edomite kings. He appears in two places, both with identical wording — the original list in Genesis and the Chronicler's reproduction of it.

In the chief-list of Edom

Genesis sets the name in a brief sequence between Kenaz and the next chiefs of the region: "chief Kenaz, chief Teman, chief Mibzar," (Ge 36:42).

The Chronicler repeats the line word for word in his own roster of Edomite chiefs: "chief Kenaz, chief Teman, chief Mibzar," (1Ch 1:53).
